Skeletal Asymmetries

Facial asymmetry may affect the forehead, eyebrows, eyes, cheeks, nose, or jaw.
In addition to braces, we fashion a plan to reposition bones to create a more symmetrical appearance.

Anterior Open Bite

Open bite is a type of orthodontic malocclusion which has been estimated to occur in 0.6% of the people in the United States. This type of malocclusion has no vertical overlap or contact between the anterior incisors.

Crowding

Crowding is the lack of space for all the teeth to fit normally within the jaws. The teeth may be twisted or displaced making them unsightly and difficult to brush and floss properly.

Deep Overbite

Out of all the bite disorders, a deep overbite - when the upper front teeth almost completely overlap the lower front teeth - is the most detrimental to the teeth and health of the jaw joints. It also has an impact on facial aesthetics.

Excess Overjet

Increased overjet is when the upper teeth protrude outward and sit on the bottom teeth. With an overjet of over 4mm, patients are estimated to have double the risk of incisor trauma from a trip and fall, which can in turn lead to premature loss of the teeth.

Orthodontic Relapse

Orthodontic relapse is an oral condition which usually occurs when orthodontic treatments have been completed and your teeth begin shifting into unfavorable positions.
