We recognize that emergency situations do arise from time to time. Generally, orthodontic emergencies are not true medical emergencies. Examples of medical emergencies include bicycle or automobile accidents, a serious fall or any other blunt trauma no matter what the source or injured body part.

 

Obviously, broken brackets, loose wires, trauma to the teeth or even tooth-loss issues related to trauma should only be addressed after any other medical emergency has been assessed by a physician and the appropriate treatment rendered.
